Hello Blog! Here are some ideas I learned, some resources I found important, and one thing I'd like to implement in my own classroom all from Module 4!

- Technology should be used as an aid for a learner, not a distraction. The focus in the classroom should be on the student's learning outcomes rather than the type of technology being used.
- There's a variety of ways to check for evidence of learning from students that go beyond tests or quizzes. This strategy is called assessment, and can range from checks for student understanding to course grades, and more.
- When planning activities in learning plans, it is reccomended to use the WHERETO plan. This plan stands for "Where Are we Headed?", "How will we hook and engage learners?", "How will we equip students for success with the neccesary skills, knowledge, and understanding?", "How express understanding and self evaluate?", "How will you tailor the learning experience to meet students' needs?" and "Organizing Learning Experiences to Foster Understanding."

100 Things Students Can Create To Demonstrate What They Know and Post: Edit gave me the biggest impact because these articles help to explain how students can better effectively learn and how teachers can assess student's knowledge. It's imperative that student's figure out how they learn best and apply that to their school work. This helps for them to become resposnbile and hopefully enjoy what they are learning. Furthermore, it's important for students to express to teachers what they learn in creative ways other than tests and quizzes, so that they can exhibit deep and ingrained learning.

One thing I want to implement into my classroom is creative types of assessment. This module taught me that other types of assessmetsw can be utilized besides tests and quizzes tot rack a student's progress. I believe tests and quizzes aren't always the most efficient at seeing where a student is learning wise, due to factors such as test anxiety, and/or learning disabilities, or for other reasons. Giving a student more options on how they would like their learnnng to be assessed helps them to become more creative thinkers and to take control over their learning.
