Module Post 1: Questions about Teaching with Tech!!

 The question I'm answering is "How comfortable would you be answering the  'Teaching with Tech Interview' questions if you were to get asked them in an interview?" I'd be comfortable getting asked the majority of these questions. As a student who grew up with technology, I am already fairly well-versed and could make a smooth transition from learning with technology to teaching. Since technology is becoming such a great staple in our society and in our education system, interviewers need to gauge if a potential teacher being hired, is qualified to use technology in effective ways to help students. One direct question I'll be answering is, "What technology do you interact with the most for your classes, are there specific systems you prefer to use for any specific reasons?" I would definitely say I use Canvas the most out of any platforms and am the most well-versed in it since I've used it since high school. I also really like Google Drive and Microsoft Word and even took a class in high school that taught me how to use Microsoft word tools more in-depth. I prefer these platforms the most because those are what I am most familiar with and have been using the longest. I also feel like these platforms are the most straightforward and simple for students to grasp.

Blog Post #2: Top 10

Hi Blog! Here's some ideas that I think are most important to note from the material over Module 2!  1.) While technological learning may be helpful and satisfactory, it's important to remember that true transformative learning requires students to use skills such as analysis, decision making, and knowledge building.  2.) The SAMR model can be represented as a swimming pool with substitution and augmentation in the shallow end, and modification and refinement in the deep end. To fully immerse students in learning, teachers need to create plans that facilitate transformative experiences.  3.) Module 7: Interview Question

When it comes to AI, what are your stances on it? Would you teach your students how to use the tool responsibly? If so, how? If you choose to avoid it, why? This is a great question, and I think it can have a lot of different answers based on the teacher's personal questions. My stance on AI is that I think it can honestly be helpful for students in many ways. I would never want AI to replace students’ ideas or have my students use AI to plagiarize or use work that is not their own. However, I think AI can be a very helpful tool when it comes to asking for tips or certain ideas. Like with many courses, some teachers permit their students to use AI for the generation of ideas on certain assignments. Then students will take that idea and use it as a starting place to expand their thoughts and create their work.
